Art in the Park
Sometimes in the summer, we take a giant leap in our worship life and instead of gathering on Sundays for worship we gather in the park and do some pretty wild art projects.
Bar Life
We have heard the people. The people want beer and singing. We mean sing-at-the-top-of-your-lungs-in-four-part-harmony singing. We call it Beer and Hymns. Periodically, we gather at Shamrock's Irish Pub or the Summit Tap Room and sing with reckless abandon. Some with beer, some with soda, some with burgers, and some with vegetarian options. We sing and are transformed in the process. (Many cry because it’s so powerful. Others go home hoarse because they can’t help themselves from singing so boldly.) It’s a holy thing, this communal song.
Meals
We like to eat. We’ve been known to have the occasional potluck and sometimes our service takes place over dinner tables together. Some summer evenings we have a giant potluck in the street, other times we have meal liturgies, sometimes before church we have tea, hot chocolate, coffee, and snacks. We dwell in the possibility of food at all times and in all places.
